Sébastien BARROT :

1) Do you still remember how and when ED STARINK contacted you ?
        
CARMEN SARS :

He contacted me about this song I wrote with him, maybe a half year before the release of this album. It’s hard to say though because I did a lot of other musical things with him, like a lot of backing vocals on several albums. We don’t see each other a lot but still are good friends.

2) In which year ?

CARMEN SARS :

I think since 1989, or something.

Sébastien BARROT :
3) Which is your principal source of inspiration for your songs ?
    
CARMEN SARS :

The whole idea of Polarity, whitch is also the title of my second album.....and a source of inspiration is also the filosofy of the native indians regarding nature and afcourse love in general.
 

Sébastien BARROT :

4) In the future will you create new songs with ED STARINK for a "possible" New Album ?
   
CARMEN SARS :

I hope in the future we will.

5) During the 1990s, you would have liked to produce albums with ED STARINK ?
      
CARMEN SARS :

Why not.

Sébastien BARROT :
6) What was your motivation to become a singer ?
   
CARMEN SARS :

I sang from the moment I realised I had a voice.....And my father was director of several choirs and played the organ in church. As a child I always came with him to sing....and soon I started writing my own songs and later went to the conservatory of music. A voice is an instrument very close to the heart, that’s what I like about singing so much.

7) You thought of composing of the songs for film musics ?
      
CARMEN SARS :

That’s something I really like to do more but It s not easy to get an opportunity like that.......When you go to my website (http://www.shaftoe.nl/carmensars/) whitch is not totally ready yet you see an album called Porta Romana .....There you ll find music I think qua atmosphere is very suitable for film.

8) You thought of collaborating with the singer: ENYA in Duet ?
    
CARMEN SARS :

I think we would fit together.

9) Do you currently Have projects or a new album year forecast ?
           
CARMEN SARS :

Yes I’m working on an album now called:  “Wings; Songs of Love” (Love for nature, children, sensual love etc.) which I intend to release in holland an also in france...I will release it in two languages....keywords are; chansons, bluesy, loungy in a magic ambiance..... The idea is to link it on a theatre program with beautiful & huge visuals. One song I want to record with the “Rosenberg trio” like I did on my album “Polarity”.  I don t have a record company yet, so if you have any ideas about a suitable company in France....let me know.
